I am going to critically analyze my everyday engagement with technology. The excessive proses can best be described as an infinite loop. Firstly, awakening from my slumbers from a loud ringing phone, the process begins in my bed. Describing the first step to my daily routine made me realize that I use an ap on my phone that records my sleep cycle,  including when to wake me up in conjunction to my ram cycle. This critical analysis of only waking up and using a cell phone app to wake up, truly encompasses technology in every day life. This example of co-dependability is outlined as I am dependent for my phone to wake me up and it depends on me to turn it on. Which leads into the second step to my daily routine, which is to get ready for the day. This is the time where I organize my life and focus on information needed to further my daily routines. Information can come in many forms like: news, cellphone, internet, radio and are all examples of locations to my information. But without me reaching out to these technical recourses, I would not be in advantage nor gain. Reflecting on my everyday life I feel as if it would be interesting to see if one could go a day without using technology. Interestingly enough, information can be found on a whim. The argument can be made that in a time where information was more difficult to find, our population was satisfied with a lower level of ‘living standards’. As humans we adapt and over come in every environment we are put into and as technology advances our level of living standards increase. There are many examples of the population taking our technological breakthroughs for granted, but I think that the ones who complain about the technologies around them are the ones who have the most struggles using them to begin with. In theory everyone would be as happy if there were no technological advantages because we as a community and population would understand “that is just how the way things go.” But now in the twenty first century we have created a knowing standard. A standard in which can be technological on a whim by the tip of a figure on a slide glass touch iPhone. The standards have been set which maximizes our level of lifestyle. So I turn my computer on and look up the bus schedule. After reading the time, I grab some headphones and turn on my iPod. Walking to the bus stop I realized that technology is used almost every moment of my day. There is not a moment when I am by myself in which I do not wear headphones to play music. Relying on the technologies of music to fuel my every day being. To critically annualize my technical life style is very interesting and worth while because there is so much detail involved. To summarize my day, I wonder about campus, noticing innovation in everything. The fountains pumping water and the scenery around it. The cement and lamp posts leading to the architecture of the library. All of these things incorporates technology into my life. It interests me to understand in detail how I use technologies in my life. Actually taking the time to step back for a moment to realize that we actually do use a lot of technology makes me curious as to how many radio active waves are bouncing around. Watching the news yesterday, Europe mainly Greece has decided to lower all data costs. Slowly lowering the worlds data and eventually expelling all costs. I think that there should be a regulation to anyone that trys to produce radio waves to any level. There should be a study that provides key information that the technological advances we have, are not harming the environment around us.

Mask. Art and Technology interview.

The Monster Ball Tour was the second worldwide concert tour by American recording artist Lady Gaga. Staged in support of her album The Fame Monster, the tour visited arenas and stadiums from 2009 through 2011. Officially announced in October 2009 after an intended joint concert tour with rapper Kanye West was suddenly canceled, The Monster Ball Tour commenced four days after the release of The Fame Monster in November 2009. The tour was described by Gaga as “the first-ever pop electro opera” and comprised a set list of songs from The Fame Monster and her debut album The Fame.
Revised after only a few months of performing due to Gaga’s concern of the original version being constructed within a very short span of time, the original 2009 version had a stage alike a frame with forced perspectives with everything fitted within it: comparable to that of a hollowed-out television set. Since The Fame Monster dealt with the paranoias Gaga had faced, the main theme of the show became evolution with Gaga portraying her personal growth as the show progressed while elements of the cancelled tour with Kanye West still remained in some parts. The 2009 shows began with Gaga appearing from behind an electric maze of lights; continued with acoustic piano playing, dancing in costumes made of guns, Egyptian style head gears and fairy-tale Rapunzel style hair. From 2010 and onwards, the revamped shows had a New York theme and portrayed a story set in New York where Gaga and her friends got lost and had to find their way to “the Monster Ball.” The show was divided into five segments; the last labelled the encore. Each segment featured Gaga in a new dress and was followed by a video interlude, portraying Gaga in Gothic and artsy poses, to the next one.
Contemporary critics praised the show; commending Gaga’s singing abilities and sense of style and fashion. They were also impressed by the pompousness and the theatricality of the show, comparing it to the tours of artists like Madonna. At the 2010 Billboard Touring Awards, Gaga won the Breakthrough Performer Award, as well as the Concert Marketing & Promotion Award, the latter being an acknowledgment of her partnership with Virgin Mobile. The tour became the highest grossing tour by a debut headlining artist and depending on other tours in 2011, could be one of the top 10 highest grossing tours of all time.
